In this tutorial we will see how to easily install ownCloud Client 2.0 on Debian 7 or 8. As you know, ownCloud is a file  Sync & sharing solution that allows users to access their data from all their devices (Linux, Android, Windows, etc.).

ownCloud Client 2.0 Installation for Debian 7

Run these commands for Debian 7:

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Debian_7.0/ /' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/owncloud-client.list  
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:desktop/Debian_7.0/Release.key 
apt-key add - < Release.key 
apt-get update 
apt-get install owncloud-client

ownCloud Client 2.0 Installation for Debian 8

For Debian 8, run these commands:

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Debian_8.0/ /' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/owncloud-client.list 
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:desktop/Debian_8.0/Release.key 
apt-key add - < Release.key 
apt-get update 
apt-get install owncloud-client
